The Office of Partnerships and Economic Development works closely with economic development organizations throughout the state to attract companies in diverse industry sectors.
Director Tom White leads NC State’s economic development efforts as he markets the university’s student and faculty talent, and identifies opportunities to promote NC State’s strengths to recruit companies to North Carolina. Whether it’s finding IT professionals who can meet a financial firm’s technological needs or filling an abandoned bottling plant with a new venture, Tom is working with the N.C. Department of Commerce and other agencies—all towards a single goal of creating more jobs across the state.
